Citadel Fox Priest

Hi guys, it has been a while since ive painted some old lead. But yesterday the ich got real and i dug out one of my favorite citadel models of all time. The Citadel fox priest! Everything about this miniature is awesome from the robe to the dragon staff. For the painting part, i primed it white (never tried this before) and used alot of watered down colours, besides that i got really inspired by Don Hans approach to the fox priest and miniatures in general!

Enjoy , C&c is more than welcome ! Happy Hollydays!

  1. Great fan of Don Hans and certainly a great fan of your fox priest ! Killer combo for the colours.

  2. I would have been tempted to go just a little darker on the purple cloak in the folds, and a little lighter on the extremes - not to move away from the light purple as a whole, but to increase the contrasts.

If you compare the contrasts on the back between the off white robe and purple cloak, the shadows are deeper on the robe, and I think look better.

    Hope that makes sense!

    1. Definatly, i totally agree and it has actually bugged me a bit after i saw it in daylight. But it has been varnished and new projects need love hehe.

    2. Always the way just after you've finished a figure, isn't it?

  3. Lovely work. This miniature has a lot of charm.

  4. Nice fox priest! The tan and purple combo is great! Nice touch as well with the Nippon-striped thingy!
